This is sort of a “catch-all” category for me. If we’re doing a shoot with the express purpose of just looking damn good, then we don’t need to think about much else. Unlike my “Iconic” category, these images are focused on aesthetic over story.
I’ve built a lot of model portfolios this way, but I also like to bring my fashion photography style to other kinds of shoots. Portraits don’t always need a “why”; sometimes a “why not” is better.
